Interview: Canada’s The Trews hunt for fans south of the border

In Canada, the Trews, which recently released its fourth full-length studio album, “Hope & Ruin,” could be described as modern rock hit makers. Since first getting together in 2001, the Toronto-based crew has placed a dozen songs in the Canadian Top 10, in addition to landing high-profile slots opening for the likes of Kid Rock, Robert Plant and the Rolling Stones.
